About the Hike

Uranostinden is one of Jotunheimen's true gem peaks. The hike to the summit offers glacier crossings, easy scrambling, and a narrow summit ridge that can take anyone’s breath away.

How to Get There

The starting point for the hike is in Koldedalen, a few kilometres into the mountains from Tyinholmen. The drive from Sommerhotellet takes approximately 45 minutes each way.

Guided Tour

The hike to Uranostinden is challenging but achievable for most with some mountain hiking experience. However, the glacier crossing requires specialised knowledge and equipment, so for most people, a guided tour with a mountain guide is the best option. We highly recommend Tyin Aktiv, which runs tours on many scheduled dates throughout the season and can also arrange private tours for groups on request. We are happy to facilitate contact!
