Mugnetinden

About the hike

Mugnetinden is a popular peak for guests of Sommerhotellet, with a well-maintained trail and magnificent views over Jotunheimen. The hike can be challenging for some due to the elevation gain, but it offers several spots with great views for taking breaks along the way.

How to get there

Follow the E16 east towards Fagernes, then turn off after about 4 km and follow the signs to Slettefjellvegen (toll road). Drive onto this gravel road and continue for approximately 10 km. Parking is on the right side of the road, at Mugnestølen.
