This is an easy and simple hike to a peak with an extraordinary view. It was said that one could see seven churches from there, and with a good pair of binoculars, perhaps you can? In ancient times, the troll Labo Hugakøll lived in this mountain, but he has been strangely quiet in recent times, so there is little chance you will encounter him on your hike. How to get there
The hike starts by turning off the E-16 about 100 meters northeast of Hugali Pension, where there is a sign for "Hugakollen." Pay the toll and continue driving with a clear conscience. At the highest point of the road, there is a turn to the left, but you continue straight towards Hugastølen until you have crossed the river Ala and arrived at the parking lot on the other side. Park there and start walking. Signs, markings, and a clear path ensure you can't go wrong.
