About the hike

This hiking trail up to Fugleberg was frequently used during the years when Sommerhotellet had regular holiday guests. In the mid-1930s, one of the regular guests at Sommerhotellet, Professor Bye, initiated the clearing of the trail up to Fugleberg, and a flagpole and a resting bench with a table were installed. The trail has since been known as the "Bye Trail."
